In this intensive workshop, Caitlin encourages students to think differently about sculptural mosaic. Caitlin believes the form of a sculptural mosaic is as important as the mosaic that is later applied to it. You will develop strategies to explore, develop, evaluate and construct sculptural forms for mosaic. Each student leaves with a completed and resolved sculptural substrate.
Note: This workshop does not include any mosaicing however the mosaic application is discussed where relevant throughout the workshop.
Workshop size is limited to 9 participants.

About Caitlin:
Based in the Blue Mountains, Caitlin is a visual artist working predominantly in sculptural mosaic. Since completing her initial fine art training at the National Art School over twenty years ago, Caitlin has become one of Australia’s leading mosaic artists and educators. Her distinct sculptural works form the core of her art practice, and Caitlin exhibits her work nationally and internationally.
As an experienced educator, Caitlin creates a positive and relaxed working environment with a strong focus on learning the technical skills necessary for creative expression through material practice.
