Rectangular Hinterland Platter
A versatile platter ideal for serving finger foods, cheeses and vegetables. This dish can also be used as an individual dinner plate. The white glaze is intentionally dappled so that the terracotta-coloured base shines through.
The colours and textures of Bundjalung country where we live in the Byron hinterland inspired this platter. The rim of the platter was created using a dried palm leaf sheath and the red clay resembles the red soil where we live.
Dimensions:
Length approximately - 29 cm
Width approximately - 20 cm
Height approximately - 2 cm
Earth stoneware clay
Rustic white gloss glaze
Designed and made by Greg Furney in the Byron Bay Hinterland
