Mosaic Tapestries Revealed!

The students in our Mosaic Tapestry Workshop ranged from complete beginners to those who have been making for a few years.

Working on a custom-made base, everyone was encouraged to create a pattern that reflected their personal history.

Michelle used her mother’s buttons as the base to her pink and green tapestry; Caroline added her mother’s butterfly broach in her landscape tapestry, and Caleena chose a pattern from her Jewish heritage. Annie was inspired by her travels in Iran in her blue and gold Islamic design, Stacie created a colour transition from light to dark pink as she’s obsessed with the colour pink, and Trish remembered the vintage Axminster rugs from her grandma’s home (as shown above).

Congratulations to everyone - the variety of styles and end results are incredible!
