The warm months are fast approaching and Villa Rustica is looking elegant after her winter facelift! Sometimes it feels as though we always have workmen on-site but the changes are worth any inconvenience.
If you’re planning a weekend break in Byron Bay, why not recharge in the Byron hinterland? Villa Rustica’s exotic ambience will transport you from the everyday, and — if you can drag yourself from the pool — the beaches, restaurants and shops of Byron are just a short drive away.
If this is not enough to tempt you, here’s 5 reasons to visit Villa Rustica this summer:
1. Personal Service
From your first contact with us, you’ll receive a personal response. Our focus is on friendly, old-fashioned hospitality that caters to individual needs. Many guests chose to stay at Villa Rustica to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, and we love helping make these events extra-special! Pictured below is Kylie and Nick on their “babymoon” last November.
2. Complimentary Extras!
As you probably won’t feel like hopping back into your car to buy groceries after arriving, your room is stocked with treats from the local region and beyond. These extras are complimentary – not like a minibar where items are ticked off and charged to your room. Overnight guests in the Jaipur Suite receive a chilled bottle of Italian prosecco and snacks to whisk them straight into holiday mode! Breakfast is continental style with freshly squeezed juice, baked croissants and local cheese and fruits. Weekend guests in the cottage are provided a breakfast kit of fresh eggs, organic butter and sourdough bread from nearby Harvest Bakery.
At Villa Rustica, you’ll be one of two small groups staying on the property so there is plenty of privacy. You can explore the tropical gardens, nestle in the pool area with a good book or watch the birds roost at sunset in the waterway below the property. Our small guest numbers ensure Villa Rustica is a peaceful rejuvenating hideaway.
4. Artisan Living
Villa Rustica was built by an artist and everywhere you look is a visual feast! The present owners, Jane and Greg Furney, are creatives with on-site studios that you are welcome to visit. Jane loves the slow pace of mosaic art, and her designs are found in pavements and paths as you explore the gardens. Greg is a ceramic artist, and each room stocks his fine tableware so you can enjoy using handcrafted ceramics during your stay. Here’s Greg outside the studio of Villa Rustica Ceramics:
5. Touches of Luxury
We believe small details make the difference: fresh flowers from the garden, the finest French bedlinen for a blissful night’s sleep, soft cotton bath robes and scented bath bombs – all beautifully presented to make your stay unforgettable!
If Villa Rustica sounds like your kind of place, reach out and book your stay now. We look forward to welcoming you!
